With great sadness that I learned of his brutal annihilation last nite in Johannesburg.
Lucky Dube, South Africa's reggae pride, is no more. That is to say, he does not trod Jah Urt anymore. But those of us who Know are confident he is now up There wid oddah Angelzz like Dennis, Bob, Pablo, Tubby, Coxsone, Garnett, Tosh, and the list goes endlessly on... Myoozick in da Skies, coming down on us like droplets of rain...
Here's to the man who spent his first sickly months without a name, because his parents deemed it wrong to name a child who could pass away at any moment. When the baby survived, he was called "Lucky"...
